A Stripe account is usually restricted because the required information or documents are missing or still under review.
This is a standard part of Stripe’s security and anti-fraud checks and doesn’t mean there’s a problem with your charity.
The most common reasons are:
- a missing bank account verification document
- a missing ID document for the person setting up the account
- incomplete organisation or charity details
- documents uploaded that don’t clearly show the required information
