SwiftAid offers both free and paid options depending on your charity's needs:
Free option: SwiftAid's Basic plan is completely free and includes:
- Up to £6,000 of Gift Aid processed per year through donation platforms
- One annual claim is submitted automatically
- Unlimited connected platforms
- HMRC claim submission
- Data validation checks
- Dashboard access and support
If you go over the £6,000 allowance, you can request additional claims at 5% + VAT of the Gift Aid amount without needing to subscribe.
Paid options:
- Plus plan: £25/month + VAT (billed annually) - includes monthly claims instead of annual, lower processing fees (2.5% + VAT on amounts over £6,000), 6 years of record storage, and audit support
- Claim Submission Service: 5% + VAT of Gift Aid processed - upload your donation data and SwiftAid handles validation, compilation, and HMRC submission on your behalf
Gift Aid funds are sent directly to your charity from HMRC, typically within four weeks of claim submission.
